Wellesley Art History Club In particular, we host events about study and career opportunities in the art world.

The mission of the Art History Club is to foster a sense of community amongst students and faculty within the Art History department through planning art and art history-related events on and off-campus. We invite all art history majors, minors, and enthusiasts to join us for our events!

The mission of the Art History Club is to connect Art History students with their peers, the Art History faculty, resources on and off campus, and opportunities in the art world. We host
frequent lectures and discussions with faculty members and other art historians on campus. Other activities include field trips to regional museums, alumnae lectures, and panels on study abroad, graduate schools, and internship and career opportunities in the art world.

The Art History Club is hosting a brief tour of the Wellesley College campus led by Professor Bedell this Friday April 29, 2022 at 3:45 PM.
The tour begins at the Davis Plaza tent and will take you around the campus as you learn about Wellesley College's landscape architecture! It's a great opportunity to learn more about our school, as well as learning more about what landscape architecture is and how these designs come into fruition. Hope to see you there!

The Art History Club is hosting its annual alum lecture on Thursday, April 7th at 6 PM in Jewett 450. Join us to hear from Holly Salmon, Wellesley Class of 1997 and the Director of Conservation at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum!
A reception will follow catered by Lemon Thai.

Join the Art History Club for a paint night this Friday, February 25th from 4:30-6 PM in the Jewett Sculpture Court!

The challenge: try to paint in the style of an artistic movement (Impressionism, Pointillism, Surrealism, any -isms you can think of)!

Join the Art History Club and Career Education for a panel on paid opportunities to work in the arts!

Students who have attended internships funded by Wellesley will present about their experiences and Career Education will share tips about how to find positions and secure funding.

The panel is Tuesday, October 19th from 4:30-6:00 in the Davis Plaza tent.

There will be snacks!

The Art History Club organizes events and trips such as going to museums to see exhibitions in Boston, attending events on campus related to different aspects of Art History/Art/Architecture, connecting with other students, alumni and faculty members, and attending internship panels and game nights — among others.
