The Spanish and Portuguese Department congratulates Anna Blake Patrick ’26 (Spanish and Cognitive & Linguistic Sciences) & Levitt Fellow (2025-2026) on defending her honors thesis on 4/23/2026! Anna Blake wrote about Paula Markovitch’s first artist’s notebook Cacerías imaginarias (2022). Anna Blake’s thesis committee members — Profs. Rivera, Ramos, Hagimoto, and Selimovic (thesis advisor) — are delighted to see this project come to fruition! Many thanks to Prof. Hagimoto for taking these pictures!

A tribute to Marjorie Agosín - March 10th, 2026.
Today marks the first anniversary of our beloved colleague Marjorie Agosín’s passing (1955-2025). In collaboration with several of her close colleagues from across the globe, Camilla Sutherland and I have put together a special issue to remember Marjorie through different voices of friendship, literary analyses, poetry, and epistolary engagements.
