Join the Catalytic Power of HERS Alums for GivingTuesday

Donate by November 30 to Support HERS and the Global Day of Giving

Please help us commemorate the milestone of 2021 in our shared HERStory by participating in our GivingTuesday campaign and contributing towards a $20,210 fundraising goal by November 30. All it will take is 800 alums donating $25 or more to reach this goal. The measurement of success for this campaign is more about the number of HERS women giving back and less about the dollar amount raised. We're hoping that at least 50% of the 1600+ alums that open a weekly email from HERS will feel inspired to join this global movement of generosity.

How You Can Help HERS Achieve Gender Equity in Higher Education Leadership

Since 1972, HERS has served nearly 7,000 women and made great strides in chipping away at visible and invisible barriers to their pursuit of senior leadership positions in higher education. Every year, another woman rises in the ranks and we see institutional "firsts" — of deanships, presidencies, vice presidencies, provost roles, and other comparable titles filled by women and women of color. However, we still have work to do in achieving true gender parity — and we need your help to get there.

The trial HERS Network membership will be available until January 31, 2022. After this date, the membership renewal will cost $69/year and will require members to reactivate (it will not renew automatically).

More information on the membership benefits in 2022 will be shared in the coming weeks and months, leading to the kick-off of the 50th-anniversary celebrations in January. With this update in mind, please still work to meet the benchmark dates outlined in the toolkit, starting with the July 31 deadline. The cohort challenge is still the same: if you get 100% of your cohort colleagues to activate the membership by July 31 and they all renew their membership in February 2022, they’ll all qualify to win HERS swag!
