Northampton County Early College Alumni Success Spotlight: Brittany Ray
🌟 Northampton County Early College Alumni Success Spotlight 🌟
From overcoming life’s greatest challenges to achieving her dream of becoming a nurse, Brittany Ray is a shining example of perseverance, resilience, and determination.
A proud 2021 graduate of Northampton County Early College, Brittany continued her education at Roanoke-Chowan Community College, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in May 2026. Her journey to this achievement was not without obstacles, but her commitment to her goals never wavered.
In March 2020, Brittany survived a severe car accident that nearly claimed her life. While the experience tested her physically and emotionally, it also strengthened her resolve and taught her invaluable lessons about perseverance, gratitude, and resilience. Rather than allowing adversity to define her future, Brittany used it as motivation to keep moving forward.
Today, Brittany is not only a newly graduated nurse but also a devoted mother to her two beautiful daughters, Brinleigh (2) and Paisley (1). As she looks ahead to marrying her fiancé next year and beginning her nursing career, she continues to build a life centered on service, family, and purpose.
Reflecting on her time at Northampton County Early College, Brittany credits the support, opportunities, and relationships she developed there as an important foundation for her success.
Her message to current students: Life may not always go according to plan, but with determination, faith, and hard work, you can overcome challenges and achieve your dreams.
💙 Congratulations, Brittany! Northampton County is proud of you and excited to see the difference you will make in the lives of others through your nursing career.
