• Greg Highsmith was selected the Outstanding Alum for 2024!

• Crystal Gleaves was selected as the 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year!

Thank you to Kyle Downum for speaking via video from Alaska. It was so great to hear from you.

SPEAKER SPOTLIGHT! 🌟 Join us at the WPSEF Banquet on October 7 at 6pm to hear from our incredible speaker.

KYLE DOWNUM BIO • Kyle graduated in 2004 from Welch high school. Upon graduation, he went on a 2 year mission to Busan, South Korea. When he returned, he began his undergraduate studies at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. While attending there, he met and married Kristen Fenska - whose mother was a science teacher at WHS.

Together, they attended Creighton University in Omaha, NE from 2011-15. Upon obtaining their Doctorate of Dental Science Kyle then worked for Indian Health Service for 4 years during which time they moved to Soldotna, Alaska. Kyle continued his work for IHS there and recently purchased his own, private dental practice in Soldotna.

He and Kristen have 6 children that keep them very busy! They enjoy soccer, fishing, hunting and camping. Please join us to hear all about their journey from Oklahoma to Alaska!
