PRE-ENTRANCE TESTING FOR
THE MCDOWELL COUNTY CTC PRACTICAL NURSING PROGRAM IS NOW OPEN.

REQUIREMENTS TO TAKE THE PRACTICAL NURSING
PRE-ENTRANCE EXAM
for the 2026-2027 School Term



1. Complete an application (call for an application 304-436-6180)

2. Submit an official High School transcript or Official GED scores with a high school
transcript (No Copies-must be an official transcript). Transcript must be in a sealed envelope.

3. Photo ID (example driver’s license-we can make a copy)

4. Test fee is $100.00

After submitting the application, official high school transcript /or GED scores with high school transcript, Photo ID, we can register you to take the pre-entrance exam.

The exam will be given at the McDowell County Adult Learning Center.

A study guide book will be available to rent.

The McDowell County AdultEd Learning Center will operate on a 3 hour delay tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24.

Due to weather, the Learning Center will be closed. All work will be completed remotely.
