Weir Ready For Our First Home Football Game this evening vs. Edison Local HS. Please come support our band, cheerleaders, and team as they represent us tonight in competition! We held a pep rally today to prepare and also announced our homecoming court - Congratulations to these students!

We are still taking registrations for the project best career fair that will take place in wheeling on 9/16. Students will need to have the registration form filled out and permission slip in to guidance by Wednesday morning to attend! Great opportunities to work with private sector recruiters with information booths , presentations and new opportunities emerging for career readiness !

Sending the biggest congratulations to Mrs. Bricker! Being named a WV Teacher of the Year finalist is a massive honor and a true reflection of the impact you make on your students every day. The final title doesn't change the fact that you are an absolute rockstar educator. Thank you for inspiring all of Hancock County and encouraging your students to find their voices!

Weir High School is currently accepting nominations for three parents to serve on the Local School Improvement Council (LSIC). Members will receive information regarding school progress, school-wide programs, and will develop plans to improve school performance. If you would like to serve on this school-based council, we will meet four times a year, usually in the evenings. Nominees can e-mail their interest to Mrs. Petrella at [email protected]. The deadline for nominee submission is 9/10/2026. Once we have received nominations, we will send out a ballot for all parents to vote on the nominees. Thank you for your consideration!
