We just completed our first month of school, and what better way to celebrate than with a surprise Glow Party! 🎉

Our students had an absolute blast dancing and showing off their moves with their light-up sticks! 🌟 We even managed to snag a few of our volleyball friends for a dance or two!

A HUGE thank-you to Madonna for letting us use their gym on the fly while ours was being transformed for Grandparents Day. We are so grateful for our wonderful school community and the willingness to always help each other out! 💙

And a very special shout-out to our Parent Group and amazing lunch staff for helping set up, decorate, and pull this surprise together. We couldn’t have made it happen without you!

Our 5th grade students did a wonderful job leading today’s liturgy, and we are so proud of them! We were also excited to see several of our new altar servers serve for the very first time!

During his homily today, Fr. Dennis reminded us about the “handcuffs of hate and the keys to forgiveness.” He shared the powerful story of Pope John Paul II’s forgiveness following the attempt on his life, reminding us that forgiveness is a choice that frees us. When we refuse to forgive, it can be us who remain handcuffed by anger and resentment. What a beautiful lesson for all of us to carry into our week: choose forgiveness and allow God to set our hearts free.

🌟 Faith in Action Award 🌟

We would also like to give a very special congratulations to Jude Hicks, this week’s Faith in Action Award recipient!

Jude demonstrated incredible courage and quick thinking this week when she helped save her grandmother during a choking emergency by performing the Heimlich maneuver. Her bravery and willingness to help when it mattered most are a beautiful example of putting faith into action. We are so proud of you, Jude! What an incredible example of faith, courage, and love for others. ❤️

Today the third graders wrote their spelling words with a special friend from the classroom library! They had to whisper the spelling of each word to their buddy to teach them how to spell. Learning is ALWAYS better with a friend and the third graders loved teaching their buddy ☺️💙

Talk about Growing in Grace this school year 🤩We had a fantastic altar server training today at St. Joseph the Worker School! We are SO excited to have 27 altar servers ready to serve our school Masses. 27!!

A special thank you to Fr. Dennis for spending time training and retraining our servers and helping them understand the importance of their role at the altar. We are incredibly proud of the reverence and responsibility our students show when serving during Mass. What a beautiful example they are setting for our school community!

And, of course, no training is complete without a little celebration! 😉 Our altar servers were treated to a Chick-fil-A lunch following their training, thanks to Fr. Dennis and Ms. Fuscardo!

We are blessed to have so many of our students willing to step forward and serve their school and parish community. Thank you, altar servers, for saying YES to serving God!

Today in preschool, we celebrated International Dot Day and discovered that sometimes all it takes is one little dot to inspire something BIG!

We read The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, talked about being brave enough to “make our mark,” and explored our creativity through colorful dot-inspired activities. Our preschoolers learned that there are no mistakes in creativity—just opportunities to try, create, and see where our imagination takes us!

What a great soccer weekend⚽️💙 We’d like to congratulate our Spartans 3rd/4th Grade Team on an exciting 6–1 victory at home over Holy Cross! We also want to celebrate our Jr. Dons Varsity Squad on their win on the road against Mary of Nazareth! Way to go, Jr. Dons!

But one of our favorite parts of the weekend was seeing so many of our St. Joe’s students in the stands, cheering on and supporting their friends on the field! 💙 There is nothing better than watching our students encourage one another and show what it means to be one team and one family.

Today, our St. Joseph the Worker School community came together for our annual Blue Mass, a special tradition that holds a very meaningful place in our hearts. Each year, we gather to honor and remember the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, while also expressing our gratitude for the brave men and women who continue to protect and serve our communities each and every day. 🇺🇸💙

We are truly blessed to have such an amazing school community that comes together to show love, support, and appreciation on occasions like this. It is a beautiful reminder that our faith calls us to remember, to pray, and to serve others.

Following Mass, we were honored to provide our local first responders with a delicious lunch prepared by St. Joe’s alumni Drazen Frankovich of Easy Fresh Meals here in Weirton.

To all of our local first responders: thank you for your courage, your service, and your commitment to keeping our community safe. We are grateful for you today and every day!
