The welcome letter sent home in packets accidentally said the Open House is Wednesday instead of Thursday. The Weidman Open House is THURSDAY, August 20, 2026.

Today was Holly's last day as secretary. We thank her for knowing the answers, caring for all, and her non-stop energy. She will be missed by everyone here! We wish her well in her next endeavor. Holly eagerly trained her successor to make sure the office would run smoothly for students and staff. Parents and community members, please welcome the new Weidman Elementary Secretary, Marita Ray. Marita is a WARRIOR through and through. She is excited to see students on the first day of school and tackle her new role in the district.

Our class lists for the upcoming school year are officially posted! You can view them on the window outside the front office.
A lot of thought and care went into building balanced, supportive classrooms where every child can thrive. Because these placements are carefully designed to set everyone up for a great year, class rosters are final. Thank you so much for your support, flexibility, and partnership as we get ready for a wonderful year together. We can't wait to see all of those smiling faces soon!

Tomorrow is the day! If you are able, bring your Weidman Elementary student to Island Park for the Beat the Heat Pie A Principal event. One lucky Weidman student will get to pie me in the face! The principal with the most names in their bucket will receive gift cards for teachers at their school!

Tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12, is our final SUN Meals To-Go pickup of the summer. Stop by and pick up a free week’s worth of meals for every child ages 18 and under!

🔹 Barryton, Mecosta & Weidman Elementary: 11 AM–1 PM
🔹 Chippewa Hills Middle School: 4–6 PM

No registration or ID required. Just stop by, sign in, and pick up your meals!

🍎Back to School ✏️is around the corner, and we are so excited to welcome our Weidman Warriors. This supply list is short, but it covers the big items that our students need. Our teachers have ordered pencils, crayons, colored pencils, markers, and other common supplies for their classrooms. If you have already purchased those items, AWESOME! Students may bring more than what is on this list. Your teacher might also send home a small supply list at our Open House or after the first day of school.

Please remember that CHSD will provide all required items for students who are unable to bring their own.

Has your elementary student ever wanted to pie a principal in the face? Do you want an opportunity to mingle with the new Weidman Elementary principal? Do you like to support teachers? If you answered yes to any of those questions, this activity is for you!

Weidman Elementary is participating in the Back to School Bash: Pie A Principal event! Come to the Island Park South Pavilion between 6 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. on August 12th. Have your student(s) fill out a ticket with their name on it and drop it in Mrs. Jorgensen's bucket. Stay until 8 to see if your child gets to pie Mrs. Jorgensen in the face! If we have the most tickets in Mrs. Jorgensen's bucket, we can earn the grand prize for teachers at our school! 🏫✏🍎 If you cannot stay for the entire event, that's okay! Even just stopping in and filling out the ticket and mingling for a little while will help us earn more tickets to help our teachers.
