ices, through social media, you are agreeing to adhere to the terms of use as follows:
While this is an open forum and we appreciate your comments, inquiries, and interaction, all posts must be appropriate. The Supreme Court
defines public schools as limited public forums. We will strive to maintain the same standards of decency and decorum common in our classrooms. We are a family-friendly community, and we reserve the right to delete all obscene,
profane, disrespectful or otherwise offensive information from our sites, as defined by local standards, and as determined by the district’s public information officer, or designee. Personal attacks of any sort will not be tolerated. Violators of these terms and conditions will be prevented from accessing and/or posting on official district/school social media sites. Graphic, obscene and/or explicit posts are not permitted and will be removed. Posts that are abusive, threatening, and/or hateful, or that are intended to defame anyone or any organization, are not permitted and will be removed. Posts that suggest or encourage illegal activity are not permitted and will be removed. Posts that promote, foster or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, gender identity or sexual orientation are not permitted and will be removed. Posts by any whose profile picture or avatar, username or e-mail address contains any of the aforementioned prohibited activity/conduct will be removed. Information should be related to the subject matter of the social media site where it is posted. Solicitations and/or advertisements are not permitted. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any person or financial, commercial or governmental agency. Any information intended to compromise the safety or security of the public or public schools is not permitted. Those who post information assume personal responsibility for their comments, usernames and/or any other information provided. All comments are subject to public records law. The comments and opinions expressed by visitors to district/school social media sites do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Hernando County School District or any of its schools or offices. Links to any external sites off of official district/school social media sites are not necessarily links to sites endorsed by the Hernando County School District.
