Out of many one...

We were supposed to start summer classes tonight, but the weather is not cooperating. Look for an update on Thursday for class at Hanshi's.

Tonight was Shihan Matt's last class as head instructor at our Webster dojo. On behalf of Hanshi Chris and all who have trained with Shihan we want to express our eternal gratitude for his endless dedication, passion, and knowledge. We are all better for having had this time with him as a student and instructor.

Shihan Matt took over the head instructor responsibilities almost 12 years ago when Hanshi had to relocate. Because of him our Webster dojo was able to serve the Webster community for just over 30 years.

It is with great sadness we a ounce the passing of Paul LoSasso. Besides being an original student at the Galway dojo, he was the brother of Hanshi Chris and Sensei Theresa and uncle to Sensei Beth and Sensei CJ.

Congratulations to Sensei Paul on his promotion to Sandan. Paul is and has always been an outstanding individual, leader and gentleman. Paul continued his martial arts studies after he left us for college. Now in Grad school, Paul returns to class whenever he comes home. Students really enjoy it when he leads class. … a well deserved surprise promotion! (“Sensei Mom” also in picture)
