If only there was a running event that took you right through such a place. One that was low key and limited entries as not to cause damage to the environment. One that is inexpensive and all about the camaraderie with fellow runners.
If there was it would be called it the Tick, run in May and put on by Old School Ultras. 😉

It can't always be about the money, (and yes there's a lot of it changing hands).
We need to keep our parks as natural areas not resorts. As a place for wildlife to flourish not a place for man's intervention.

Old School Ultra update

Hey all, Rich here.
I’ll be stepping back in as RD for the OSU events this year.
The Itch and Tick will be run as they always have with just a couple of small changes.
First, all OUS events will be $35 regardless of distance. As always they will also be capped to 25 runners.
Second, we will be doing water drops as well as drop bags for the Itch and Tick for those who want to run unaided. That being said your transportation from the finish back to your car will be your responsibility

If there’s enough interest I am considering add a couple of new events on the western corridor of the FT so let me know what you would like to see?
