We’ve got some dill-ightful news! 🥒✨

Our Joe Club has partnered with Trader Joe’s, and last week they even went on a special field trip! Students received custom pickle name tags (so fun! 💚) and got a behind-the-scenes experience.

Even more exciting—our students’ Joe Pickle Comics are now being featured in the Trader Joe’s staff lounge! 🎉📖

A perfect example of Montessori learning in action—hands-on, creative, and connected to the real world. We’re so proud of this amazing community partnership! 🧡

Last week, our Spirit Squad took flight on a special field trip to visit Forest, our beloved owl mascot, at Wild Wings! 🪶💚

To show some extra love for Forest and all of his feathery friends, our students organized a “Towels for the Owls” fundraiser — collecting paper towels to help keep their habitats clean and cozy. 🧻🦉

We are so proud of our students for combining fun, learning, and giving back. What an unforgettable day full of curiosity, compassion, and school spirit! 💫

Art for everyone? Yes please! 🎨🙌 We love seeing initiatives like this in our community!

🎉Admission to MAG will be free for everyone starting 2027!

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of its members and the community, the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester will open its doors to all—free of charge—in 2027. The museum has raised more than $9 million through its “Free for All, Forever” fundraising efforts, surpassing its original goal and timeline.

The Montessori bead cabinet is more than just a beautiful material—it’s a journey into mathematical discovery that grows with the child from Primary through Elementary.

In the Primary classroom, children begin with hands-on exploration of colorful bead bars, building a deep, sensorial understanding of numbers. They see, touch, and truly feel quantity as they work with numbers one through ten and explore the golden beads to experience units, tens, hundreds, and thousands in a concrete way.

As they move into Elementary, those same familiar materials take on new meaning. Children use bead bars for skip counting, uncover multiplication patterns, and even build square numbers—seeing math come to life through structure and design.

This work expands into the stunning square of the decanomial, where children create intricate patterns that reveal the relationships between numbers, and then into the breathtaking Tower of Jewels, a three-dimensional exploration of cubes that makes exponential growth visible and tangible.

🌈 Throughout it all, the bead cabinet beautifully captures the Montessori philosophy: moving from concrete to abstract, empowering children to discover patterns, think deeply, and experience the elegance of mathematics firsthand.
