𝘞𝘏𝘈𝘛 𝘋𝘐𝘍𝘍𝘌𝘙𝘌𝘕𝘊𝘌 𝘊𝘈𝘕 𝟥𝟢 𝘔𝘐𝘕𝘜𝘛𝘌𝘚 𝘈 𝘞𝘌𝘌𝘒 𝘔𝘈𝘒𝘌? ⌛
𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠.

The School District of Webster is looking for caring community members to serve as volunteer mentors through our SNAPP (Students In Need of A Pat or a Push) Program.

SNAPP mentors meet with an assigned student once a week, as schedules allow, for approximately 30 minutes during the school day. And mentoring doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes, making a difference is simply being a consistent, caring adult who shows up!

A 30-minute visit might mean playing a game of cards, working on a craft, reading a book, helping with homework, talking about their week, sharing a laugh, or simply listening.

There’s no special expertise required — just a willingness to give your time and build a positive, supportive connection that a student can look forward to each week.

There’s nothing quite like having our entire Tiger team back together again!

Webster staff kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with our annual All-Staff Welcome Back Breakfast — a morning filled with plenty of laughs, time to reconnect, and a whole lot of Tiger pride. 🧡🖤

After breakfast, staff teamed up for a GooseChase photo scavenger hunt for a little welcome-back team building…and we learned a few things along the way: we have a lot of rule followers in this District, some impressive creativity, and apparently a little harmless mischief hiding among our Tiger staff..(𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰 👀🚨)

Most importantly, there was plenty of teamwork and a whole lot of fun being back together again!

These are the people who make Webster such a special place for our students, and we couldn’t be more excited and ready for another great school year!

April joined the School District of Webster during the 2025-2026 school year, serving as a Middle School Special Education and WALC (Webster Alternative Learning Center) Teacher.

For the 2026-2027 school year, we’re excited to have April continue her role of supporting students across grades 5-12 as a Special Education Teacher!

Although April is already a familiar face around Webster, we’re excited to officially feature her as part of our staff introductions and celebrate this next chapter of her Tiger journey.

Heather attended Hennepin Technical College, where she studied Child Development. She brings more than 20 years of experience working with children, having worked with kids since 2004!

🌟 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅:
Heather’s goal for the upcoming school year is to be a great source of support for both our students and staff. Her passion for working with young children and seeing them grow and reach their full potential is also a big part of what attracted her to becoming a Webster Tiger.

For Heather, it’s all about family! In fact, she already has a special connection to our Tiger Family—her son is a Webster Tiger at our Elementary School! 🐅

Heather enjoys boating, four-wheeling, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.

The Burnett County Pop-Up Food Distribution Project is a collaborative effort supported by local volunteers and community partners to help make nutritious food more accessible to children, families, seniors, and other residents throughout Burnett County.

An additional distribution will be held in Grantsburg tomorrow Tuesday, August 25, from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Grantsburg Village Hall.
