Learning off the beaten path! Our 5th graders had an absolute blast at Webster Park this morning for Orienteering Day! 🧭
Students from all seven of our elementary schools took to the trails in waves, putting their map and legend skills to the test to navigate the park and hunt down specific landmarks.
Shoutout to all of our young navigators for a fantastic morning of teamwork, problem-solving, and outdoor exploration!

Webster CSD is proud to announce that Matthew Carpenter, a physical education teacher at Klem Road North Elementary School, has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 NYS AHPERD Amazing People Award for the Technology Section.
Matt will be formally honored during the Amazing People Awards Ceremony at the annual NYS AHPERD Conference in November. He is being recognized for his creative, accessible approach to integrating low-cost technology and modern tools directly into elementary physical education. By introducing simple pulse oximeters into his physical education classroom lessons, he has provided students with real-time biological feedback, helping them visually connect physical activity to cardiovascular health and heart function.
Congratulations Matt!
