Huge shout out to Hopkins Sand & Gravel for their very generous donation of rock to finish off our raised beds project! Also to Al Maslow, Heidi and Bob Hanson, and Laura Eckart for their manual labor moving rock. We couldn’t have done this without you! Thank you!

Raised beds got filled today! Huge shout outs to some of our maintenance staff (Al and Brian), Tom Cuper, and Heidi Hanson for your manual labor help. Thank you to Troy and Sara Coveau for your very generous donation of black dirt to fill these garden beds!

Our timeline didn’t really match up for a harvest this fall but we will be ready to go for spring 2022!

Aiden, Kloie, Matt and William stopped by before summer school to help Mrs. Day complete construction of the corner garden and plant peas and tomatoes. They even found some ripe strawberries to munch. Thanks, kids!

Jim Olson of Webster Education Foundation presented a check to 4th Grade Garden Buddies for
to WTT School Garden. The funds will go towards pavers for Alannah’s Garden. Thank you, WEF!

Digging for donations again. =)

Drop off any flower/plant donations to the north side of the elementary school on the sidewalk by the school garden, any time before the 15th. =) THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Some Webster 1st graders and 4th graders worked together to wrangle up some worms to start a new vermicompost! Vermicomposting means worm composting, the process of letting worms breakdown material and turning it into a nutrient-rich compost/fertilizer! We will use this natural fertilizer in our garden and plants! The students had fun counting the worms they found! SO many worms! We noticed lots of baby worms as well as adult worms. We then grabbed some hay, dirt, newspaper, and added the worms back into our worm bin to start the process all over again.
