🚌 Is your little one stepping onto the school bus for the very first time this fall? Let’s turn those first-day jitters into excitement!
Our transportation department invites all incoming kindergartners and their parents/guardians to our annual Strive for Five for School Bus Safety event! Created and led by our friendly district school bus drivers, this hands-on tradition gives your child a fun preview of their school commute and engages them in five essential safety habits.
To give kids an authentic experience, families will meet at Klem North Elementary School (1015 Klem Road) and board a school bus for a short ride to the Webster Bus Garage (1000 Document Drive) and back. Please park in the main campus lot at Klem North and arrive by 5:50pm, as buses depart promptly at 6pm. This outdoor event takes place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly! Due to limited bus seating, attendance is restricted strictly to new kindergartners and their parents/guardians.
🗓 Session Schedule (Buses depart at 6pm sharp!):
• Dewitt: Monday, August 3
• Klem North & Plank North: Tuesday, August 4
• Klem South & State Road: Wednesday, August 5
• Schlegel Road & Plank South: Thursday, August 6
Private/parochial students or families unable to make their assigned date are welcome to attend any session.

Going out in style!!! Mrs. Garritano and Mr. Gorski took a tour around the Plank North bus loop after our students left for the summer!

A day filled with mixed emotions as we said goodbye to our Plank North Pioneers!!!

Have a wonderful summer, you deserve it!!!

Our Plank North Pioneers had our last family gathering of the school year this morning!

We honored our 14 students who had perfect attendance throughout the school year in addition to individual friends who received a Shout Out & Golden Coin award…amazing!!!

Our school has emphasized a character trait as a goal each month this year. Students guessed the trait from the past 10 months that helped them become their ‘best you’!

We also recognized Mrs. Garritano and Mr. Gorski with their retirement.

The assembly wrapped up with our annual tradition of honoring our 5th grade kiddos before they depart for middle school!

Perhaps one of the best days of the school year for our Plank North 5th graders…the annual trip to Seabreeze Amusement Park!!!
Even the weather cooperated after a rocky morning…fun in the sun!

Our Plank North 1st graders conducted some research on an animal of their choice and then made a book! Today they held an author’s share with their peers!
