💙 **October’s Core Value: FAMILY** 💙

At Deep Waters Academy, we believe that partnering with families is an essential part of raising up disciples for Christ. This month, during our Going Deeper assembly, we created a special opportunity for our families to pause, come together, and pray over their children. 🙏

As Sara Fontana, our Head of Family Ministry, shared, we are called to put on the armor of God each and every day and go out into the world to make disciples for Christ.

One of the beautiful gifts of our schooling model is the gift of time—time to be present, to grow together in faith, and to be intentional about what matters most. Our families spent this special time offering prayers of blessing, hope, healing, and gratitude over their children. ❤️

We are so blessed to partner with these wonderful families as we raise the next generation to love and follow Jesus. 💙

This year in history students are studying the Medieval time period and to kick off the Middle Ages our history teacher, Queen Kinnison, had classes building castles 🏰 ! History comes alive with engaging, hands on activities to support the topics students are learning about. We look forward to diving into all things Middle Ages over the next several weeks!

🦒 First Field Trip of the Year Was a Success!
We had an awesome time at Bayou Wildlife Zoo for our first field trip of the school year! Our DWA families fed the animals, explored the petting zoo, marveled at the giraffes, and discovered so many unique creatures together. We wrapped up the day with a picnic lunch together.
We are so incredibly blessed to create opportunities for our families to connect and grow together. At DWA, we believe we're more than a school - we're a community! That's why we host at least one community event every month, giving our families a chance to spend time together and have fun.
Thank you to everyone who joined us - we can't wait for our next adventure together! 💙

Our Kindergarten classes enjoyed an on campus field trip to the school Science Lab last week. These budding scientists had the opportunity to explore crystals and geodes as part of the Introduction to Science curriculum. Thank you Mrs. Shank for welcoming our Kindergarten friends to the science lab!
