It’s the final night of Ali • Magpie Mahjong’s Fall Mahjong League at Tower Grove Park, and to celebrate, we’re giving away prizes all evening to our league players! It’s not just our top-scoring league players that win prizes at the end—everyone has a chance to win raffle prizes on our final night. The more mahjong wins you’ve had during league, the more chances you have to win.

I have more than 20 raffle prizes to give away tonight, including fabulous mahjong prizes from local St. Louis businesses The Tile Style, Mahj + More, Story Seven, and Clover Club STL, plus favorite brands Virora Mahjong Official and Case-Mate.

The Tile Style • The Tile Style, Mahj + More • Chesterfield-based mahjong shop that stocks high-end tiles, racks, mat and more, plus mahjong gifts—like this adorable mahjong bag and matching tile bag that we’re giving away tonight! The Tile Style also hosts lessons and open play.

Story Seven • Story Seven • Story Seven in Webster Groves is one of the boutiques that makes Old Webster a shopping destination. They offer a thoughtfully curated mix of stylish home decor, gifts, and unique finds—including a variety of mahjong accessories and gifts! We’re giving away a gift-ready stack of these adorable stemless Joker glasses from the shop.

Clover Club • Clover Club STL • Clover Club is the newest destination to play mahjong in the St. Louis area! They host lessons in addition to Open Tables, their regular open-play sessions. 3 players tonight will win passes to their Open Tables!

Virora Mahjong • Virora Mahjong Official • Virora is my new favorite brand of mahjong tiles and mats, and the best part is their products are high style and high quality without breaking the bank. Tonight we’re giving away a Virora mat to one lucky winner!

Case-Mate • Case-Mate • Someone is going home with this adorable mini jelly tote bag charm—the perfect place to stash your mahj trinkets!

And we can’t forget our grand prizes for our top 3 players with the highest cumulative scores at the end of tonight’s round! I’m thrilled to give away 3 of my “fall favorites”:
🥇 Oh My Mahjong Heritage Tiles
🥈 Tigre de Tartán 🌞 Mahjong · Needlepoint · Print House Handbook Plaid mahjong mat
🥉 Case-Mate Mahjong Jelly Tote Set in Tortoiseshell

There are just a few seats left for our Sunday, Oct. 4, open and guided play mahjong event at Florentin in the Delmar Maker District. We’d love to see you there!

Fresh off a 101 lesson or still building confidence? Select “Guided Play” when you sign up, and Ali • Magpie Mahjong instructor Ali will guide your game, answer questions, and help you pick a line. Just 4 Guided Play seats left!

Weather permitting, we’ll have mahjong tables outside on Florentin’s patio and also on the Makers Yard lawn for mahj al fresco! Enjoy delicious food and drinks from Florentin or pop into Nixta and the new Del Bono just off the Yard to try their delicious offerings. ☕️🥙🥗🧆🥐🍹🌮🍷🍕

Please note that this event is for current mahjong players who already know the rules of the game—we recommend a lesson first if you’ve never played! There will not be formal instruction or a lesson at this event.
