💡 DID YOU KNOW? Webster Groves School District students have opportunities to explore career and technical education through our partnership with South Tech High School.

In addition to the programs offered right here in Webster, our partnership with South Tech gives students access to hands-on, real-world learning experiences that help prepare them for college and careers.

Through South Tech’s elective courses, students can explore their interests, develop valuable skills and discover potential career pathways while continuing to participate in academics and activities at Webster Groves High School.

Our high school counselors took a visit to campus today to get another look at what our students are learning.

We’re proud to partner with programs that help our students discover their passions, build confidence and prepare for their futures! 🧡🖤

For the past 25 years, students in Webster Groves High School’s forensic science class have participated in a one-of-a-kind program that supports law enforcement and gives back to the community.

Twice a year, students photograph the outsoles and uppers of shoes, documenting manufacturer information to build a database that assists law enforcement in criminal investigations across the country. And their work has helped solve crimes.

WGHS is home to the only program of its kind, giving students a unique, hands-on opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom to real-world forensic science while making a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

A big thank-you to teacher Mebbie Landsness and retired teacher Jeanette Hencken for helping keep this incredible experience for students going since 2001.

Did you know that most of the Webster Groves School District's operating revenue comes from local sources, primarily property taxes?

The district's current financial information shows approximately 86% of operating funding comes from local sources, with the remainder coming primarily from state funding and other sources.

Because the district relies heavily on local revenue, changes in property tax collections, state funding and operating costs can have a significant effect on the district's budget.

Learning about our community, government and the power of communication!

Students in the Frick Fellows program at Webster Groves High School recently had several opportunities to connect with professionals and gain firsthand insight into the work that shapes our community.

Students toured the St. Louis County Board of Elections, learning how votes are counted and the safeguards in place to protect the integrity of elections.

Leaders from the League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis visited with the Fellows to discuss their nonpartisan work and mission of political education, including the amendment proposal process and the upcoming election.

As part of their journalism and communication unit, students also welcomed St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Blythe Bernhard, who shared about her experience as a journalist and the role of journalism in our community.

Opportunities like these give our students the chance to ask questions, engage with professionals and connect what they learn in the classroom to the world around them.
