Just Us Goats! 🐐🌿 🎩🧡🖤
1976 Statesmen alumnus Robert Rusan and his crew of goats are in the business of maintaining the beautiful landscapes of Webster Groves! Rusan is the owner of Just Us Goats, a natural landscape clearing service that is making serious headway across the community.

It all started when Rusan needed a natural way to clear his own farmland. After doing some research and talking with a friend, he decided to try goats. A neighbor lent him a small herd, and Rusan was so impressed by the results of his four-legged landscaping crew that it catapulted the creation of "Just Us Goats."

Robert purchased several goats of his own and launched a pilot program. Neighbors quickly fell in love with their presence, and as word spread, requests started rolling in from both homeowners and local municipalities. Today, Rusan’s team continues to bring peace, tranquility, and eco-friendly groundskeeping to our neighborhoods!

Dr. Hays deserves a huge thank you for rolling out the red carpet for the Clark Elementary Alumni Classes of 1954, 1958, and 1960! WGSD is so grateful to this dedicated group of Clark Eagles for returning to share their memories.
The alumni had a ball touring the school with student guides, reminiscing through the hallways, chatting over pictures from the past in the library and wrapping up with a pep assembly where they were officially inducted into the Clark family by the Eagle mascot. What a wonderful event for these lifelong WGSD Statesmen!

"Through These Halls Walk Some Of The Finest Students In The Nation." 🧡🖤

When Dr. Dan Edwards stepped in as Webster Groves High School’s sixth principal in the spring of 1986, he brought a bold, student-oriented vision to awaken WGHS from its mid-1980s slumber and propel it back into county, statewide, and national distinction.
His lasting gift—the iconic orange and black banner—served as a daily testament to what Statesmen could achieve.

Driven by student-centered learning, team teaching, curriculum coordination, and staff motivation, Dr. Edwards immediately got to work:
✴️ Launched the "Committee of Forty": A diverse cross-section of students appointed to boost school spirit, keep the student body connected, and champion academic excellence.
✴️ Fostered Community & Climate: Brought parent volunteers into classrooms as tutors and library helpers.
✴️ Strengthened Connection: Introduced the new homeroom advisement program to build stronger bonds across campus.

Dr. Edwards’ legacy helped shape the pride, tradition, and standard of excellence we still celebrate today.
