Golf practice for girls in grades 9-12 will begin on Monday, August 7th at 11:00am. Girls will meet in Mrs. Kadletz's room. You MUST have a physical on file to participate. Walk-in athletic physicals are scheduled for Thursday, August 3rd from 6-7:30pm in the Spartan Center.

Results from last Wednesday's D4 Regional Tournament at Calderone Farms G.C. in Grass Lake: We finished 8th out of 15 teams with a season best 396. Way to go boys! Brad shot a season best 84, just 2 strokes away from a chance to go to the State Finals this weekend. Incredible! Drew shot a personal best 94! Max 104, Tate 114, and Wesley 130. Great job and awesome way to end the season on a really tough Links-style course!!

Results from Friday's Huskie Golf Invitational in Alma at Pine River Country Club: Brad 95, Drew 98, Max 104, and Wesley 122. We finished 5th out of 8 teams. Drew had another personal best and finished 25th out of 47 golfers. Brad finished 20th! Great job again by the Spartans.

Results from Friday's Yellowjacket Invitational at The Fields G.C. in Ithaca: Brad 91, Tate 97, Drew 104, and Wesley 113. All return players for next year. Finished 11th out of 13 teams and we beat my wife's alma mater, Chip Hills, lol. Brad finished 30th out of 65 golfers and Tate finished 40th. Drew and Wesley had personal bests. Good job boys!

Redwing JV Invitational at the Emerald in St. Johns last Friday. 14 schools, 15 teams, 73 golfers. Highlights: Brad Davis received a medal and tied for 8th place with a 90! Way to go Bradley. Wesley and Michael played in their 1st Invitational, and Drew shot a 109 on a very tough course. Lots of elevation changes, tons of hazards, and the greens were lightning fast despite the rain.

Highlights from our match with Williamston and Dewitt Monday: Riley, Brad, and Max shot 43, 44, and 44 respectively! Rest of the team shot well and gained valuable experience. Williamston and Dewitt have legit chances at going to State finals in their divisions, so it was a great learning experience for myself and our boys to watch and learn how top level golfers compete. I asked their coach's lots of questions to gain insight on how they practice and run their successful programs, hoping to build on our program for the future.

Some pics from last weekend's Invitational at Glenbrier. 18 schools, 19 teams, 5 players per team. Individual stroke play, team score based on top 4. Overall we didn't get the finish we were hoping for, but on the bright side, it was sunny and 80 degrees by the end of the tourney! One of the highlights was Brad shooting a 93 and placing 38th out of 95 golfers. Congrats Brad, Garrett, Lucas, Drew, and Tate!

Beautiful night for a golf match vs. Dansville last night. We played 12 vs 12 with 2 and 3 man scramble teams. Great team effort and team win. Good job Spartans!

Varsity Boys played in the Wolfpack Invitational on Saturday at Pine Hills Golf Course in Laingsburg. Handwarmers were a big hit, lol. Overall team finish was 10th out of 16 teams. Brad Davis had a top 10 finish out of 32 players with an 89. Max Mills finished 20th with a 101. Congrats Brad and Max! Our Best Ball team (Tate and Riley) finished 14th with a 110, and our Scramble Team (Drew and Lucas) finished 11th with a 94.
