HIS Homeschool Band

HIS Homeschool Band H.I.S. Homeschool Band is a ministry of North Point Baptist Church in Weaverville, NC that is open to homeschooled students ages 8+. The goal of H.I.S. Mrs.

All activities are focused on bringing Praise, Honor, and Glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Homeschool Band is to grow and use the talents God blesses our children with to serve others in His name (H.I.S. = Hands on Instruments Serving). Examples of ways performing for Him is encouraged is through outreach performances and individual and small group performances. Rehearsals are on Monday

afternoons at North Point Baptist Church, just 10 minutes north of Asheville, NC. Performance include an outreach performance and a concert at the end of each semester. Participation in the Weaverville Christmas parade is optional, but fun! Christy and Mrs. Jodie believe that having fun and rewarding hard work is key to instilling the desire and devotion needed to become the best musician a student can be. Frequent rewards are offered throughout the semester, as well as a large reward at the end of each semester, to encourage daily practice which helps students recognize the benefits of practice.

The FINAL H.I.S. Homeschool Band Open House & Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will be Wednesday, July 22 from 10am-12pm in the Fellowship Hall at North Point Baptist Church, 119 Monticello Rd, Weaverville. Come try instruments and check our program out!
