A Big Thank You from Our Crockett Elementary Library! 🏖️ Our recent beach-themed reading unit was an absolute splash! 🌊The library was transformed into a sunny seaside escape, complete with beach décor, inflatable floaties for reading, and some extra-special “fancy” drinks prepared by our wonderful teachers. Most importantly, our students had such a joyful and memorable time falling in love with reading in a whole new way. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible—our teachers, staff, volunteers, and families who contributed time, creativity, and support. Your involvement helped turn this unit into something truly special for our students. We are so grateful for our amazing school community! 🌊☀️

Be sure to SAVE THE DATE for our District-Wide Summer Reading Kickoff on Saturday, May 9, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Roo Stadium! We will have free food, games, music, prizes, FREE books, and our three library therapy dogs will be joining us! There will also be a BOGO Scholastic book fair going on that morning to stretch your family dollars! We can't wait to see you all!

I've said I would post a list of needs for our beach reading unit. If you happen to have any of these items, please comment below (or feel free to message me). I'm looking for gently used beach towels, a few beach umbrellas with stands, some beach chairs, pool noodles, river tubes, several large blue tarps, a couple small swimming pools, blow up items for decor, shutter shades, and any other fun decore I can hang around (like life jackets, snorkle items, flippers, etc.).
