Weatherford ISD Community Education

Community Education provides a wide variety of life-long learning opportunities to all ages. Community Education became a part of Weatherford ISD in 1971.

It was the first program of its kind in Texas. It began with a summer camp program, then added the after school program at one campus, and through the years added life-long learning opportunities for those in the community. In the past 40 years, Community Education has grown to what it is today providing after school care to all seven elementary campuses and an extraordinary summer camp through it

📚❤️ A huge thank you to Parker County Adult Literacy Council and the many generous businesses, individuals, and volunteers who make this wonderful program possible each year!

Through their fundraising efforts, Parker County Adult Literacy provides two brand-new books to every kindergartner in Weatherford ISD. These books help our young readers stay engaged, continue building their literacy skills, and foster a love of reading throughout the summer break.

We are incredibly grateful for the volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring these books reach our students. Your commitment to literacy is making a lasting impact on the lives of our children and our community.

Weatherford ISD is continuing to provide FREE grab-and-go lunches for all children 18 and younger at the Weatherford Public Library.

📅 June 29 – July 2
❌ Closed

📅 July 7–9 (Tuesday–Thursday)
⏰ 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

📅 July 14–16 (Tuesday–Thursday)
⏰ 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

No registration is required, and children do not have to be Weatherford ISD students to participate.

Children must be present to receive a meal, but meals do not have to be eaten on site. Just stop by and pick one up!

🏐 Day 3 of Volleyball Camp for our 5th–8th graders was a great day! The campers worked hard, improved their skills, and had fun on the court. We’ve enjoyed seeing them learn, grow, and support each other throughout the week.

🏐 Our 1st–4th Grade Volleyball Camp was a huge success! Campers showed great improvement in serving, bumping, and teamwork throughout the week. We are proud of their hard work, positive attitudes, and growth on the court!
