🦘 Welcome, Mandy Hayworth — our new ACC Special Education Teacher! 👏

Mandy brings many years of educational experience to the Tison family, having served students in Weatherford ISD, Crowley ISD, and Duncanville ISD. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, and she is passionate about creating a supportive environment where every student can thrive.

In addition to her accomplishments in education, Mandy is a former standout student-athlete who played basketball at Baylor University and was later recognized as a Baylor Women’s Basketball Legend. The same dedication, perseverance, and commitment that fueled her success on the court continue to guide her work with students today.

Mandy is excited to begin this new chapter at Tison and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families while supporting the success of every learner.

Mandy shared, “I am excited to join the Tison family and look forward to making a positive impact with our students, staff, and families.”

Juneteenth is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the U.S. The holiday was first celebrated in Texas, where on that date in 1865, in the aftermath of the Civil War, slaves were declared free under the terms of the 1862 Emancipation Proclamation.

🦘 Welcome, Jennifer Kristufek — our new ACC Special Education Teacher! 👏

Mrs. Kristufek, also known as Mrs. K, brings 10 years of teaching experience serving students in a variety of settings, including special education, comprehensive behavior intervention, and high school social studies and English. She earned her B.A. from Stephen F. Austin State University and her M.A. from The University of Texas Permian Basin. Her diverse background and passion for supporting students make her a wonderful addition to the Tison team.

Jennifer and her husband, Chris, are proud parents of five children. Their family includes David and Rylie, graduates of Weatherford ISD; Dane and Devin, who currently attend Tison; and Benjamin. Family is at the center of everything they do.

Outside of school, Mrs. K coaches a Special Olympics team here in Weatherford and enjoys traveling, cheering on soccer, spending time with extended family, fishing and crabbing in South Louisiana, and exploring historical places together.

Jennifer shared, “I am incredibly excited to join the Tison Middle School family! Special education holds a very special place in my heart, and I am deeply committed to helping every student grow, succeed, and feel valued. I look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families and contributing to the strong tradition of support, growth, and community at Tison.”

🦘 Welcome, Chloe Yeats — our new Registrar at Tison Middle School! 👏

Texas born and raised, Chloe is a proud graduate of Brewer High School and brings a strong passion for serving students and families to the Tison community. She spent 13 years in White Settlement ISD as an Elementary Art Teacher before transitioning into the roles of PEIMS Secretary and Registrar. Most recently, she served in Lake Worth ISD for two years as a Registrar and Athletic Secretary. Her diverse experience in education and student services makes her a wonderful addition to our campus team.

Chloe and her husband are proud parents of three boys: Ethan, who will be a junior at Weatherford High School; Blaiden, who will be a 6th grader at Tison Middle School; and Lincoln, who will be a 3rd grader at Ikard Elementary School. Their family has proudly called Weatherford home for the past seven years.

Chloe shared, “Shortly after moving to Weatherford, I knew I wanted to become part of the Roo family. I am incredibly excited to officially join my boys as a Roo and look forward to serving the wonderful families of Tison.”

We’re thrilled to welcome Chloe to Tison Middle School and look forward to the care, experience, and positivity she will bring to our students, staff, and families! 🎉

🛝 What is the Summer Slide?
The "summer slide" refers to the loss of academic skills and knowledge that can occur when students are away from school for an extended period of time. Research shows that students who stay engaged in learning over the summer are better prepared for success when school starts back in August.

🦘 Welcome, Tim Holloway — our new STACI Classroom Special Education Teacher! 👏

Tim Holloway is excited to join the Tison family as our new STACI Classroom Special Education Teacher. With eight years of experience as both a teacher and baseball coach, including the past two years in Weatherford ISD, Tim brings a wealth of experience and a passion for helping students succeed. In addition to his role at Tison, he is also a member of the Weatherford High School baseball coaching staff.

Throughout his career, Tim has taught a variety of subjects, including PE and science, before discovering his true passion in special education. He is dedicated to supporting students, building meaningful relationships, and helping every child reach their full potential.

Tim and his wife, Rebecca, have been married for three years and are eagerly anticipating an exciting new chapter as they prepare to welcome twin baby girls this summer.

Tim shared, “I am excited to be joining the Tison family and look forward to this next chapter of my career. I’m eager to work with our students and be part of such a supportive school community.”

We’re thrilled to welcome Coach Holloway to Tison Middle School and look forward to the positive impact he will make in the lives of our students and families! 🎉

Former Weatherford Kangaroo standout Hayden Hansen is hosting his 2nd Annual Elite Skills Camp on July 12 at Weatherford High School.

Athletes in grades 2–8 will have the opportunity to learn from one of Weatherford's own, build their skills, and enjoy a great day of football instruction.
