Our 7th Grade Science students rolled up their sleeves and dove into hands-on learning on Friday! Through engaging station activities, they reinforced their understanding of CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning), laboratory safety, and the scientific method while developing the critical thinking and problem-solving skills used by real scientists every day.

From asking questions to analyzing evidence, our young scientists are building the foundation for real-world scientific inquiry and discovery. We are proud of their curiosity, teamwork, and enthusiasm for learning! 🧪💡🔍

Tison Middle School has earned a B rating with an 82 on the 2026 TEA Accountability Rating — a 14-point improvement from 2025! 📈💙

This is the highest rating in Tison history under the current A–F accountability system, and we received three distinctions. We finished in the Top 25% in Academic Growth and Closing the Gaps. We also earned a Social Studies Achievement distinction! 🏆

We are proud of the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, and families. This achievement reflects what happens when we work together with one goal in mind: One School. One Team. One Mission: Student Success! 🦘💙

We were thrilled to welcome 900 students through our doors today. The building was filled with excitement as students learned new schedules, practiced routines and procedures, met new teachers, and made new friends.

Parents, thank you for trusting us with your children. It was a joy to welcome them today, and we look forward to an amazing 2026-2027 school year together! 💙

Please be aware that traffic around WISD campuses will be heavier than normal this week and next as we all adjust to our back-to-school schedules. As a reminder:

• Obey the 20-mph speed limit within school zones.
• In school zones, all drivers are prohibited from texting and using handheld devices while driving.
• Use extra caution when traveling through school crosswalks.
• Yield to pedestrians at all intersections.
• Stop and wait for school buses when red lights are flashing.
