A huge thank you to our Curtis Elementary PTA and C**t Midstream in Weatherford and surrounding areas for sponsoring our Curtis tailgate lunch today. We had two excellent cooks, Rob and Juan, from C**t Midstream and wonderful volunteers that covered our teacher lunch duty so our staff could enjoy their meal. We are blessed with the best at Curtis, and we are very appreciative! 💙

We are blessed to have two amazing therapy dogs in the Curtis Library. Lindy and Lacy make everyone happy!

Two of the BEST things about the Curtis Library are Lindy and Lacy, our library therapy dogs! Lindy and Lacy have been coming to Curtis twice a month for three years now, bringing plenty of tail wags, warm snuggles, and calm moments with them each time.

During their visits, selected classes get the opportunity to spend about 20 minutes with the pups. Students can sit, pet, talk to, and simply enjoy some time with their furry friends. For some students, it’s a chance to practice reading in a relaxed setting. For others, it’s simply a time to slow down, connect, and enjoy the library in a different way.

Our therapy dog visits are just one of the many ways our library works to create a welcoming space where students can read, connect, create, and grow.

We’re thankful for Lacy and Lindy—and for the joy they bring to our Curtis students every single visit!
