The rain may have put a pause on the fun yesterday, but it couldn't dampen the excitement today. Our campers hit the courts with lots of energy for all that the day has in store. We can't wait to see the skills they'll build and the memories they'll create this week.

What an incredible weekend at the State Tournament on Cedar Creek Lake! Our anglers headed into the competition hoping to bring in their best bags of the season, and they did that and so much more π

Mrs.Purl brings 26 years of experience in education, with 25 of those years dedicated to serving junior high students. She has spent the past nine years as a principal, leading campuses with a strong focus on student success, meaningful relationships, and academic excellence.
Throughout her career, she has proudly served in Mesquite ISD, Forney ISD, and Huckabay ISD, where she is known for building positive campus culture, supporting teachers, and creating opportunities for all students to thrive.
Mrs. Purl is passionate about building strong relationships with students, staff and families while creating a school environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
She is honored to join the Peaster community and looks forward to working alongside students, staff, and families to make a positive impact and continue the tradition of excellence.

Jennifer brings 25 years of experience in education, including the last seven years serving as an assistant principal in Weatherford ISD. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to supporting students, building strong relationships, and creating positive learning environments where everyone can thrive.
She is passionate about helping students grow through genuine connections with both them and their families, and is excited to work alongside the outstanding staff at Peaster Elementary.

Peaster ISD is excited to welcome Coach Michael Swenson as our new Athletic Coordinator and Head Baseball Coach! πβΎοΈ
Coach Swenson brings more than 21 years of experience in education and athletics and a proven track record of building successful programs and developing student-athletes. Most recently serving as Assistant Athletic Director at Weatherford ISD, he has also spent two decades leading athletic programs and coaching at Iowa Park CISD.
With over 300 career baseball wins, 11 district championships, 34 playoff series victories, and five regional final appearances, he has demonstrated excellence both on and off the field. More importantly, he is passionate about helping students grow into well-rounded individuals through athletics and academics.
Please help us give Coach Swenson and his family a warm Greyhound welcome! πΎ

Today, our students could be found showcasing their hard work in the Ag Mechanics competition and in the Market Swine show ring.

ππ Congratulations to Katie Sears on an incredible accomplishment!
Katie earned the title of Reserve Champion in the Texas FFA State Senior Prepared Public Speaking Contest, placing among the top public speakers in Texas! π€β
She was also awarded a $20,000 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship, renewable for an additional $16,000, for a total of $36,000 toward her college education! ππ°
We are so proud of the way she has represented our school, community, and FFA chapter. ππ

π Basketball Camp began this week at Peaster ISD!
Students are spending the week developing fundamental basketball skills, participating in drills, and working with coaches and teammates. We are excited to see another great turnout for our summer camp program.
