New addition to the Dojo.
Now when someone is curious about what the calligraphy on the wall means, I can direct them to the placard.

This art piece was thoughtfully created for our dojo by Eric Pearson and graciously given as a gift in November of last year.

It is a wonderful piece that helps remind us that even though our martial arts effect others externally, it is always the calm, controlled expression of what is inside our minds and our hearts that make us grow in our art.

Brett's Demonstration Video.. He skipped a few, invented a few, but all of them were on point, his application and connection were fantastic.. On more than one occasion I genuinely checked my mouth and nose for blood. 😅

Please join me in congratulating Brett Cates on his promotion to Black Belt!

He is a wonderful and dedicated student, and always eager to learn.
His understanding of principle, and his application are very impressive. And I am extremely proud of his accomplishments.

He was a little nervous for his demonstration, he skipped some things, he added some things, but everything he did was on point and extremely effective! (I did not plan on taking any large falls without the crash pad, but his throws were so good I didn't have a choice for many of them lol)

Congratulations Brett! You make me proud to be your Sensei!
