UNITY RETREAT 2026

All of our high school students attended an off campus retreat for a couple of days this week allowing them time to dig into God’s word, hear from encouraging guest speakers, spend time together in worship, and build bonds with their peers.

This has been a WCS tradition to help set the trajectory for the year -- according to God's will.

Please pray for all of our students to live out their faith BOLDLY no matter what.

DAY 10: WRITTEN FOR HIS GLORY

The purpose of every story God writes is for His glory.

May every lesson taught
Every game played.
Every song sung
Every test taken.
Every friendship formed.
And every life changed point others to Jesus.

As we begin this school year, we dedicate every page to the Author.

PRAY WITH US:
- Christ would be glorified in every part of WCS.
- For revival in our school community.
- This school year would become another beautiful chapter in God's story.

DAY 9: TRUSTING GOD WITH THE NEXT CHAPTER

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5–6

Every story has pages we haven't read yet.

As we begin a new school year, there are so many things we simply don't know. We don't know every opportunity that will come our way. We don't know which challenges we will face, which friendships will be formed, which prayers will be answered, or which moments will become memories we carry for years.

We don't know what the next chapter holds.

But we know the Author.

God already knows every page of the story He is writing at Weatherford Christian School. He knows every chapter of your story, too. Before we arrive at the next day, He is already there.

Faith means trusting the Author with the next page.

Happy First Day on WCS FIRST DAY in 2001!!!!

WCS was founded on the prayers of Jim Bob Measures and Jerry Ponder to bring affordable Christian education to Parker County.

WCS opened their doors on August 20, 2001 with 67 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.

What blessing to start our 25th year with incredible 455 students in grades Pre-Kindergarden through 12th grade!

Some things never change -- God is so good! He is still writing HIStory! For 25 years, God has been writing the story of WCS and He isn't done!

Your final chapter has started at WCS. The Author is writing your story. Seniors, you are the leaders in the school. We are praying for God's blessings over you.

Let this year be written as a story that brings glory to God and points generations to Jesus.

DAY 8: SURRENDERING THE PEN TO GOD

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Every great story has an author, and God is the Author of both Weatherford Christian School's story and yours.

While we often want to write our own plans and determine what comes next, God invites us to trust Him with every chapter. He sees the whole story when we can only see the page we're on today.

As this school year begins, remember that your life is not unfolding by accident. Every lesson learned, every friendship formed, every challenge faced, and every opportunity to serve is part of the beautiful story God is writing.

When we surrender the pen to Him, we discover that His plans are always greater than our own.

PRAY WITH US:
- Thank God for being the faithful Author of your life.
- Ask Him to help you trust Him with every chapter, even the ones you cannot yet understand.
- Pray that every student, teacher, parent, and staff member would allow God to write His story through their lives this year.
- Ask God to use your story to point others to Jesus.
