The Spartan baseball team advances to regional finals on Friday at 5:00 at Athletes in Action Field in Xenia. There will be a free tailgate sponsored by the athletic boosters and McGillivray family at 3:30 in the parking lot at the game site.

NCAA ELIGIBILITY CENTER LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE http://ift.tt/1B8EPui

The NCAA Eligibility Center has launched a new website at http://ift.tt/1B8ER5A to help high school student-athletes successfully transition to college. The enhanced online content gives student-athletes and counselors a broad look at the initial-eligibility process and detailed information about common eligibility situations.

The new content is part of the NCAA Eligibility Center’s continuing response to customer requests for key pieces of information student-athletes should know as they consider college. Student-athletes are guided through current and upcoming initial-eligibility requirements, recruiting guidelines, and timelines for staying on track in high school. Additional webpages address initial-eligibility situations unique to international, home-school and non-traditional students.

A wide range of frequently-asked questions addressing issues from academic and amateurism eligibility to high school and core-course review are easily searchable and will be expanded in the future.

New online content for high school staff and member institution staff at http://ift.tt/1B8EPuk provides immediate access to eligibility printouts, videos and tutorials.

High School and Junior High Cheerleading tryouts March 9-12, 2015 http://ift.tt/1wnPgtc

High School and Junior High Cheerleading tryouts for the 2015-16 school year will be held March 9-12, 2015. Parents of any interested student currently in grades 6-11 should plan to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday evening, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Parents must attend this meeting with their children. We will be sharing information regarding tryout details, summer camp, football, basketball, and competition cheerleading seasons. *Girls who are currently involved in the high school cheer program do not need to attend the Wednesday, March 4 meeting. Information about tryouts will be shared with you and your parents at our spring cheer banquet on Thursday, March 5!!
