📢 Important Reminder for PTA Volunteers

We appreciate everyone who volunteers their time to help support our students, teachers, and school! ❤️🖤

We would like to remind all PTA volunteers that volunteering with the PTA does not give permission to visit or enter classrooms to see or visit with children during the school day.

PTA volunteers should only be in a classroom when their presence has been previously arranged with the classroom teacher for a specific classroom event or activity.

Please help us respect our teachers’ instructional time, classroom routines, and school procedures by remaining in the area where you are scheduled to volunteer.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and for everything you do to support our school! ❤️🖤

Looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend? Be sure to check out the Mount Morris Volunteer Fire Department Open House!🚒❤️

This is a great opportunity to come out, meet some of our local firefighters, check out the fire department, and support the amazing volunteers who help keep our community safe! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Reminder! Tomorrow (Tuesday) is our Teacher Meet and Greet!
Meet and Greet runs from 4:30 - 6:30
Dr. Lombard will also be holding Parent Information Sessions in the gymnasium at 4:00 and 5:00 with information about the upcoming year, school procedures, attendance expectations, the PBIS initiative and ways that families can support their child’s success at WCES.

The first day of school is exciting but can also be overwhelming for new students. Our volunteers help children navigate to the cafeteria and/or their classrooms. This year, volunteers are also needed in the parking lots to assist with traffic control and ensure parents are using designated parking and drop-off areas in both the morning and afternoon.

Teacher assignments are starting to arrive in mailboxes! Please note there is one important clarification: Teacher Meet and Greet is on TUESDAY, August 18. The letter mistakenly says Monday, August 18.
If you have any questions on letters or meet and greet, please contact the school office at 724-627-3081. The PTA does not have any knowledge of classroom assignments/mailing dates/etc.
