Our officer team spent the day dodging rain drops, bonding as a team, and setting goals for the new year! We started with a bungee class at Twisted Fitness where we learned to trust the bungee and believe in ourselves. Then we headed to Bill's Golfland for some lunch and for some fun at the driving range, where we learned FFA was the right choice for us and that the golf team is lucky we have other obligations. 🤣 Next, we headed to Cedar Creek Park for planning and some team challenges where we learned that the human knot is easier to figure out as a team than when just one person is in charge, and that anything is possible with the help of our advisor. The storms blew in and we headed back to Waynesburg for some dairy queen and finished things up in the classroom where we decided on our theme for the year!

Thank you to Lori Kauffman of Kauffman Dairy Farm for giving us an awesome farm tour today! Our members learned how Lori got her start in agriculture-from the city of Altoona to running a dairy farm. Then they followed the life of a calf from birth to dairy cow. They got to walk through each of the barns and learn how there care and diet changes as they move up to different age group pens. They got to hear about their parlor set up and how their operation has changed from milking 8 cows to 108 cows since the very beginning. And of course, their favorite part of the tour was running into the group of kittens.

Fun Fact: Mrs. Willson and Lori were roommates and worked at the PSU Dairy Barns when they were in college!

We’ve got TWO DAYS LEFT and they are not handling the rejection well.

🗓 TODAY (Friday) — until 5 PM
🗓 Tuesday, May 19 — 8:15 AM – 3 PM

💥 End-of-season ‘treat yourself’ deals:
• Fill a flat (flowers OR veggies!) — $15
• 4 flats for $50 (because self-control is overrated)

It may be breakfast time, but we already have the grill going! Get a free hotdog while you shop, while supplies last! Today is our last Friday of greenhouse operations and we are open until 5pm.

Don't let the cold weather scare you away! We are open today until 3pm! Stop by and get some beautiful hanging baskets, planters, bedding plants, and veggies.

Rumor has it there will be 🌭 🌭 on the grill later this afternoon!

We’ve got students out here giving it their ALL trying to flag down customers (and yes… the dramatic disappointment is very real when no one pulls in 😅).
