The final bell has rung… SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER! ☀️🎸🎵

What an incredible encore from our students, staff, and families this year. From classrooms to concerts, games to graduations, the 2025–2026 school year was one to remember!

Now it’s time to trade pencils for pool days, homework for hot summer nights, and early alarms for summer adventures. 😎🌴

West Greene Elementary had 7 students and one teacher earn PERFECT ATTENDANCE for the 25-26 school year. Being at school every day of the year is difficult to accomplish and these 8 individuals were up for the challenge! Way to go Leona, Gracie, Lily, Grayson, Jewely, Bexley, Levi and Mrs. Renner.

🌎✨ Mrs. Lohr’s 2nd Grade National Parks Adventure – Final Stop! ✨🌎 What an incredible journey it has been! Mrs. Lohr’s class has officially finished exploring 26 of the 63 U.S. National Parks! 🗺️🏞️ From volcanoes and caverns to deserts, forests, and glaciers, our students “traveled” all across the country while learning about the beauty, history, wildlife, and wonders found in our National Parks. Throughout this adventure, each student connected with different parks for their own special reasons. Some loved the animals, others were amazed by the landscapes, and many discovered new places they now hope to visit someday! 💚🌲 One of the most exciting parts of our journey was writing letters to the parks—and we were thrilled to receive 24 out of 26 letters back from park rangers across the country! 📬✨ The students absolutely loved hearing directly from the parks and learning even more about what makes each one unique. To celebrate all of their hard work and learning, every student officially earned their honorary Junior Park Ranger badge! 🏅🌎 This project helped our class build geography, science, and writing skills while also growing an appreciation for nature and the amazing National Parks found throughout our country. After this adventure, I have a feeling we may have some future National Park explorers and nature lovers out in the world!

The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2026 is set to be live-streamed by the West Greene Video Club!

Graduation is slated to begin Friday, May 29th at 6:00 PM, and the broadcast should go live approximately 10–15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Our 4th graders had a special guest presentation last week! Carl Livingood shared his experiences in the fields of technology and engineering, while discussing exciting advances in modern technology. Students were especially interested in learning about different types of robots, including his new robotic lawn mower.

Thank you, Mr. Livingood, for your time, expertise, and dedication to inspiring the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers!

It's opening night for Alice in Wonderland. Our show tonight, May 27th starts at 7pm. Tomorrow, May 28th we have our second show at 7pm. Then on Saturday, May 30th we have our final show at 2pm. We hope to see you there!

Summer Walk by Virginia Brimhall Snow was installed in the story stroll stands. We invite you to read it during the summer months. There are additional, fun activities at the end of the book. A special thanks goes out to Kim Grimes for helping to install this story and many others throughout the year!
