Cadets Celio Alba ‘27 and Zachary Walker ‘27 completed the prestigious leadership development and citizenship promotion experience of Virginia Boys State in June, 2026. Held at Hampden-Sydney College and sponsored by Fishburne's JROTC program in partnership with Waynesboro's American Legion, this week-long program postured these cadets for leadership excellence and post-high school success. Congratulations to them on completing this high-level program!

13 Fishburne cadets just crushed JROTC’s Junior Cadet Leader Challenge at VMI! Alongside 300 others from NC and VA, they tackled obstacle courses, rope bridges, cliff rappelling, and leadership drills, all while building confidence, teamwork, and survival skills. Every single cadet graduated, with Cadets Pearce '28 and Teed '28 earning Honor Graduate status (top 3%) Huge congrats to our leaders-in-training!
