"’Twas the night before school, and all through the room,Not a whiteboard was dusty, no sign of any gloom.

The name tags were taped to the desks with great care,In hopes that the students would soon be right there.

The lesson plans rested so neat on the stand,with crayons and pencils all sharp and on hand.

And I in my cardigan, ready to teach,was dreaming of milestones each student would reach.

When tomorrow the bell rings and bright faces appear, We’ll start a brand new, unforgettable year!"
