🎉 It’s that time again! Burke County Schools is proud to honor our 2026-2027 Teachers of the Year!

We’re building special gift baskets for our amazing teachers and inviting local businesses to help celebrate 🎁. Donate 5 small items (one for each teacher) by Tuesday, September 8th.

Two big events, one incredible group of educators! We’re honoring our Teachers of the Year at the Inaugural Circle of Excellence Gala on Sept. 10 and during halftime at the Bears football game on Friday, Sept. 11. Plus, business donors will get prime spotlight time on the Jumbotron scoreboard!

📚 BCLC Curriculum Night 2026
Date: Wednesday, September 9, 2026

Burke County Life Center (BCLC) is pleased to welcome our students, parents/guardians, families, and school personnel to Curriculum Night 2026!

This evening will provide an opportunity for our BCLC community to connect, learn more about our academic program, and discuss the resources and expectations that support student success throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

During Curriculum Night, attendees will have an opportunity to:

-->Learn more about Edgenuity and how it supports student coursework and academic progress.
-->Review academic expectations, graduation progress, and available student supports.
-->Engage in an open forum for questions, discussion, and clarification.
-->Connect with BCLC staff and strengthen our school–family partnership.

Our Goal:
To ensure that students and families understand the academic expectations, resources, and support systems available at BCLC and feel equipped to partner with us toward successful student outcomes.

We strongly encourage parents/guardians and students to attend together. Your participation is an important part of maintaining strong communication and supporting academic achievement.

Outstanding Day at Burke County High School!

Last Friday, we hosted our Club & Organization Day, and it was nothing short of amazing! Our scholars had the opportunity to explore the many clubs and organizations offered at BCHS, connect with sponsors and advisors, and sign up to get more involved. The purpose of this event is simple yet powerful: helping students engage in meaningful activities that support their academic success and personal growth.

This special day also served as our PBIS Kickoff, where we celebrated positive behavior and school spirit while encouraging students to stay engaged both inside and outside the classroom.

It just feels so good to see our kids smiling and having fun! It was truly an awesome day of engagement, excitement, and Bear pride at Burke County High School!
