Hello SV Families!

We want every child to develop a true love of reading. To help spark that love of reading, we are giving each student a $5 gift certificate to Wee Scot Book Shoppe at 4 E. Main Street (next to Brio Coffeehouse). Please look for the certificate when they arrive home tomorrow (8/21/26).

We hope you and your child will visit the store together and choose a special book (or two).

Join Summitview Elementary for Back to School Night! On Tuesday, August 11th, Summitview will welcome Kindergarten learners. (Last names) A-L will attend 6:30-7:10 PM and (last names) M-Z will attend 7:20-8 PM.

Parents/guardians should review and update student address and contact information in the parent portal (Sapphire) by July 30th to help ensure transportation is in place for the first day of school. Changes made after July 30th may result in transportation being delayed.

Bus routes, stops, and times will change in the parent portal as the transportation department creates system updates this summer. If bus route information is missing, we appreciate your patience as we update our system.

Today kicks off the free summer breakfast and lunch program at Waynesboro Area School District. This is open to all children ages 18 or younger. There is no requirement to get these meals. Pick up sites include: Fairview Elementary, Summitview Elementary, Mowrey Elementary and Valley View Village. Pick up times are from 11:30am to 12:00pm.
