This week in biology class, students explored food chains and ecosystems through an owl pellet dissection lab. By carefully examining the pellets, they were able to identify bones and other remains of an owl’s prey, helping them better understand predator-prey relationships, animal adaptations, and how energy moves through an ecosystem. This hands-on activity gave students a real-world look at concepts we study in biology and allowed them to practice observation and scientific investigation skills!
