💙💛 Central Region Rally 2026! 💛💙

Our BCHS FFA members had an amazing time at Central Region Rally! From hanging out with friends and fellow FFA members to participating in leadership games, our students had the opportunity to grow, connect, and make memories together.
They also had the chance to meet with Area Officers, hear from an inspiring speaker, participate in leadership activities, and learn more about what it means to be a leader in FFA✨

🥩 Learning From the Experts 🥩
Our BCHS FFA Meats Evaluation Team had the opportunity to tour a local meat processing facility and learn directly from the owners and experts in the industry!
Students toured the facility, learned about the butchering and processing process, and got an up-close look at the different cuts of meat. They were able to ask questions, see how the skills they are learning in the classroom are used in a real-world setting, and gain valuable insight into careers within the meat industry.
We are so thankful to the owners for taking the time to invest in our students and share their knowledge and experience! These hands-on opportunities are a great reminder that agricultural education goes far beyond the classroom.

Our Floral Design students put their skills to the test during a mock competition designed to challenge their creativity, technique, and ability to work under pressure! 💐
Students were tasked with creating a pocket boutonniere and a bud vase, using their knowledge of floral design principles and techniques to create professional-quality pieces.
We were also excited to have Christy Cozart, Sales Representative with Delaware Valley Floral Group, serve as our evaluator! Christey provided our students with valuable constructive feedback, professional insight, and tips for improvement as they prepare for future floral design competitions.

Our senior Floral Design students were BUSY today! We had the opportunity to participate in a State Floral Design Clinic, where they expanded their knowledge and skills through hands-on learning. Students were introduced to new design techniques, practiced professional floral design skills, and applied the knowledge they have developed throughout the floral design CDE to create beautiful floral pieces. 💐🌷

The BCHS FFA Chapter is excited to announce that we are selling $5 raffle tickets for a chance to win a David Yurman Classic Cable Bracelet! All proceeds will help our students travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, in October for the National FFA Convention.

Funds raised will help cover expenses such as flights, housing, convention registration, leadership opportunities, and more.

Winner will be notified by phone

🌾 Building More Than Barns

Today in Agriculture Classes, our students put their soft skills to the test during our first team-building challenge of the year!

Using only a few simple materials, teams were challenged to build the tallest free-standing structure. While it may have looked like a fun competition, students were developing skills that employers value every day:
✔️ Communication
✔️ Teamwork
✔️ Leadership
✔️ Critical Thinking
✔️ Problem Solving
✔️ Creativity

It was exciting to watch students share ideas, encourage one another, adapt when plans didn't work, and celebrate each other's successes. These are the same skills they'll use in the classroom, through FFA, and in their future careers.

At Burke County High School Agriculture, we're committed to growing leaders—not just teaching agriculture.
