Our middle school students whipped up a delicious batch of pull-apart bread in their new Life Skills elective! This class just kicked off this quarter and is led by our very own amazing Ms. Schutte! 💛

⚖️ Constitution Day Learning at Franklin! ⚖️

What better way to celebrate Constitution Day, 9/17, than by bringing learning to life! We were honored to welcome The Honorable Judge O’Leary from the 29th District Court to Franklin to spend time with our Hornets.

Students had the opportunity to make real-world connections between the Constitution, our court system, citizenship, and the community in which they live.

We are so thankful to Judge O’Leary for taking time out of her busy day to educate, inspire, and connect with our students. So much learning happening at Franklin! 🇺🇸📚⚖️ 💚💛🐝

Our Hornets are celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month until October 15th. 🎉 During this month and celebration, our library has spotlighted books that focus on the Hispanic and Latino culture, voices and history. Students are also learning a new fact each day this week in their classrooms. 💚💛🐝

The Franklin Hornets boys cross country team had a strong start to the season, finishing 2nd overall and picking up wins over Adams and Stevenson!

Leading the Hornets were Wolfgang, with Kolden close behind, followed by Jeremy, Raphael, and Michael, who battled through an injury to help the team score.

Great Job to all of our Hornet runners for giving their best effort and representing Franklin so well! Go Hornets! 💚💛🐝🏃🏽‍♂️

Franklin Students and Parents,

Yesterday was the 1st weekly session of Bowling and Franklin MS had the least amount of students as compared to Stevenson and Adams Middle schools. So, I wanted to make sure that Franklin students and families were aware of the opportunity and know it's not too late to join.

You do not have to be an expert bowler to participate. There are all levels of bowlers each Wednesday.

Town & Country Lanes has the snack bar open and you can get all types of yummy foods that are available for purchase.

The 1st time a bowler shows up the fee is $10. Each following week the cost is $5. The fee pays for 2 games and the shoe rental.

Please come out and have a good time while getting the opportunity to fellowship with other middle school bowlers.

If you want to join you can just show up next Wednesday September 16th and register at the Bowling Alley or see Ms. Thomas in the Counseling Office.

The Bowling Club will run each Wednesday until November 18th. So come on out and work on your "STRIKE" game.

Books were on the menu for the Book Tasting that was taking place in our library. Students were able to explore, sample and look at many different books on their library menu. Our chef, Ms. Purcell, aka our new librarian did an awesome job at the tasting.

We are so excited to have a librarian this year and welcome Ms. Purcell to our Franklin team! 💚💛🐝📚👩‍🍳
