Second-year Multimedia student Robert Brooks Jr. (RJ) put his skills to work capturing our recent SkillsUSA Local Chapter Meeting.

Students from programs across MATC came together to learn more about SkillsUSA, connect with one another, and build skills along the way.

Local Officers Shelby Gamble and Tuesday Sturgis helped bring the energy, leading activities focused on teamwork, communication, and cooperation.

National Physical Therapy Month continues! 🩺

How many students can say they’ve networked with an orthopedic surgeon? Our AM and PM Therapeutic Health Careers students headed to Norman for Oklahoma HOSA’s OU Football Day. They heard from a panel that included athletic trainers, a behavioral therapist, an orthopedic surgeon, a physician assistant, a physical therapist, and a former HOSA president who’s now an ENT physician. They even got an up-close tour of OU basketball’s athletic training room!

Manufacturing Month Spotlight: CNC Machinist ⚙️

Precision matters. In Mr. Carnell's CNC Machinist program, students learn to read industrial prints, program in Mastercam, and shape metal using lathes, mills, and grinders, as well as computer-controlled machinery.

Students build skills on both manual and CNC equipment and can earn credentials such as CNC Machining Center Operator, Precision Machining, Lathe Operator, and Drill Press Operator. The program wraps up with a capstone internship, giving students real experience on the job before they graduate.
