Leadership Mid-America – Session 2 Recap
Session 2 took us on quite a journey! We started the day at Heartland Customs in Purcell, where we got an up-close look at their incredible classic car restorations and learned how passion and precision drive excellence.
Next, we toured the Lexington Correctional Center, where we learned about the facility’s inmate programs that focus on helping individuals gain valuable skills like carpentry, HVAC, and other trades — giving them the opportunity to build productive careers after release. It was an eye-opening look at leadership, rehabilitation, and second chances.
We wrapped up the afternoon diving into John Maxwell’s Laws of Leadership #4, #5, and #6 — exploring how true leadership develops daily, not in a day; how trust is built through solid relationships; and how leaders add value to others.
It was a full day of reflection, learning, and inspiration — shaping the kind of leaders who make a difference in their communities and workplaces.
