#9 Wayne State College used .392 hitting while forcing 20 attack errors on host Adelphi as the Wildcats swept the Panthers Friday afternoon 25-19, 25-15, 25-15 in Garden City, New York at the Paws Up Classic. The Wildcats are now 2-0 on the young season with Adelphi slipping to 0-2.

#9 Wayne State outlasted #2 Tampa (Fla.) in five set (25-17, 25-17, 19-25, 19-25, 15-11) Friday afternoon to open the 2026 volleyball season at the Paws Up Classic in Garden City, New York. Sophomore outside hitter Delaney Miller had 22 kills and a .422 hitting percentage to lead the 'Cats followed by Channatee Robles with 14 kills and 18 digs. WSC plays another match in the next 30 minutes against host Adelphi (NY).
