Pioneer Academy welcomed students back for another year of learning, growth, and new experiences. From our youngest Pre-K students to our seniors, students officially began the 2026–2027 school year. It’s great to see our hallways and classrooms filled again!

We are thrilled to share the incredible accomplishment of our student, Aylin Kilic who delivered a floor speech at the United Nations Youth and AI Summit 2026. 💙

Aylin Kilic, Pioneer Academy high school student and Secretary-General of the Model United Nations Club at Pioneer, spoke at the UN Youth and AI Summit at the United Nations Headquarters on August 12, 2026. Aylin stated that young people need to be prepared for a world where artificial intelligence will be part of daily life and workforce in the future. She emphasized that "We need to teach young people how to use AI and technology responsibly." She pointed out that while continuing to develop skills in critical thinking, writing, researching, and forming ideas, young people should also be given the opportunity to use AI as a tool. Instead of seeing AI as something young people should simply avoid, we should focus on learning how to use it responsibly and ethically. AI should support our abilities, not replace them, and preparing for the future means equipping ourselves with the knowledge and skills to distinguish right from wrong.
