Hmmm…. imagine who you could become and what you could do….?

This is a terrific explanation of how to assess "GOOD ENOUGH" by Nir Eyal. The reasons why people keep "at it" makes a difference and can become a cost that keeps people stuck and spinning their wheels, wasting time, and most of all resulting in unnecessary self-judgment. Those with ADHD often have a difficult time with this topic, ie; handing things in, finishing tasks or feeling done because of perfectionism and not feeling their work or performance is good enough. If you or a loved one struggles with this topic, call 610-975-4588 for a FREE consultation to learn how Intend Forward Coaching has helped clients move forward in ways they couldn't before.

Three questions for knowing when to stop

Agree! It’s not the phone! It’s the symptom that becomes the barrier and the go-to to avoid what’s uncomfortable for whatever the reason. When we discover the reason, we can figure out a way forward…

Bottom line, Mondays can be a tough day for many who struggle with Executive Function challenges.
Procrastination (symptom) sets in because of not believing in your “self” that you can do the do-list (faulty belief). You start panicking (dysregulate) that you have a work deadline, an assignment due, an appointment to be at, a job application to fill out, a call to make … and you freeze because you’re worried about the quality of your work, the person you have to call, about failing the test, if you’ll get that job, etc. Your brain goes into flight, fight or freeze out of protection because of fear… of the unknown, your work isn’t perfect, you’ll make a mistake, or someone will judge you.
One thing you can do that you never have to think or worry about that you already know how to do well is …BREATHE🧘

Breathe in for count of 4sec, Hold for count of 7sec,
Exhale for count of 8sec.
Do this about 4 times in a row or until you feel calmer for as many times as you need during the day.

Your breath is always there to help you 24/7 to regulate your nervous system and get you over the hump to think calmly and clearly.
And… if you want to consider taking a deeper dive into improving your Executive Functioning, please call 610-975-4588 for a FREE consult to learn how Intend Forward Coaching can help.

College costs can be so prohibitive these days. Here’s a college in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania that’s creating opportunities for students to attend tuition FREE who might not otherwise have the means.
( FYI - I am not being paid to post and have no professional affiliation with this college)

Starting in the fall of 2027, a private college, Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania will cover at least the full cost of tuition for students whose families earn $200,000 (or less per year and have typical assets). This is a new "Swarthmore Tuition Guarantee" that applies to all four classes. Room and board are not covered but loans can be applied.

BOTTOM LINE, limiting beliefs ARE agency killers:

"I'm NOT smart enough for that job." → Why bother applying?

"I CAN’T possibly figure that out." → Why try?

"I ALWAYS procrastinate and put things off." →
So why stop now?

CONVERSELY, liberating beliefs restore agency:

"I CAN apply for that job." → Opportunities become an option.

“ I CAN ask for help to solve the problem.“ →
Resources become available.

"I CAN take action in small increments." →
Progress becomes possible.

What action have you been putting off because you don't believe you’ll succeed or that it will matter?
Today, TRY an experiment and begin with BELIEVING in your SELF first, then take one SMALL step toward that action and let me know how it goes…!

And If…you need a partner to help you shed your limiting beliefs that have been keeping you from growing and becoming the person you can be, Intend Forward Coaching can get you there.
Call 610-975-4588 for a FREE consult to find out how.

“ If you believe it won’t, you will see obstacles.” Wayne Dyer

Because of societal and gender expectations, women will more often mask their ADHD symptoms, especially around other mothers and at work. They develop what I call, a case of the “Over” in order to avoid the embarrassment, shame and fear of not living up. Although women with ADHD tend to be high achievers, they are attempting to camouflage, compensate and cover up their ADHD symptoms in order to appear more competent than they actually feel.
If you are a woman diagnosed or undiagnosed with ADHD reading this, I invite you to take the next step and call me at 610-975-4588 for a consultation (n/c) to hear how I coach women to begin to unmask and live authentically.
