Happy 5th Birthday to The Shine Center!
A Long-Overdue Update & Some Exciting News
I know it has been a while since my last newsletter—but hey, better late than never, right!?
I wanted to bring you up to speed on all that has been happening in my world over the past year. As many of you know, in 2023 I was hired part-time as an Academic Advisor and Academic Coach at the University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner School of Business and Economics, working with first - and second - year students to support their academic success.
In April 2025, I was offered a full-time position and asked to continue coaching and advising, while also stepping into the role of Lead Advisor for all Global Business students and our Lerner Business World Scholars. Needless to say, I was humbled and deeply grateful to take on such a meaningful new challenge in my career.
This new commitment certainly tested my time management skills, but thanks to flexibility—and trusting my mission, beliefs, and purpose—the ducks eventually got into their row! I’ve been able to continue coaching for CareBridge EAP and, of course, remain fully engaged with all Shine Center coaching clients.
I also added a new credential this year, earning my Student Success Coaching Certification over the summer, which has already been put to great use.
Probably the most exciting news to share is that The Shine Center is now an approved vendor for Independence Blue Cross (IBC)! What does this mean? If your employer uses IBC as a healthcare or wellness provider, you may be eligible to have The Shine Center host wellness workshops. Simply contact your HR representative and ask them to reach out to their IBC liaison to request The Shine Center materials. From there, IBC will connect with me directly. We currently offer over 50 workshops, led by exceptional and professional business owners and leaders in their industries. Being listed under this umbrella has been a long-time dream of mine—and dreams really do come true!
Let me take this moment to mention who my amazing sidekicks are on this journey! They represent the very best in all they do and I am incredibly honored to have them on my team!

This year taught me so much, but one word kept repeating itself: TRUST. Did you have a word that reminded you that you were being guided? As I look ahead to 2026, the word that keeps entering my thoughts and vision is CONNECTION. 🙂 Feel free to share your 2026 word with me!
As I reflect on the beginning of The Shine Center (1/21/21) and its upcoming 5th birthday, I’m still amazed by the number of inspiring, kind, and motivating people I’ve had the privilege to meet. From coaching conversations to workshop connections, you have left an incredible imprint on my heart. Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to share space with you.
One of my goals this year is to write more—hence my word, CONNECTION 😉. Please stay in touch, and know that I am always here to support you however I can.
