Our Veritas Middle School soccer team is off to a GREAT start! 🙌 Huge shoutout to the team for yesterday’s 6-3 win over Imago!

A big thank-you to Imago for hosting us and bringing a fantastic parent cheering section! 👏

And a special shoutout to our 5th graders playing up this season! These young athletes are stepping up in a big way and making meaningful contributions on the field. We love seeing their courage, growth, and teamwork!

Second graders celebrated Dot Day in art class—a celebration of creativity inspired by “The Dot”, the story of a student named Vashti who discovers what she can create when her teacher encourages her to simply “make her mark.”

Mrs. Nordman connected the story to our identity in Christ: each of us is uniquely made, with a role to play and a mark to make on the world around us.

Students explored artists who use dots in their work, including contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, before creating their own original pieces. With pencils, markers, and uniquely patterned papers, they cut and shaped dots and spirals into one-of-a-kind works of art.

Every child has a unique mark to make. What a joy to watch our students discover what God has placed within them.

We loved showing off Veritas Village to our current parents earlier this week! It was exciting to reflect on the progress of our construction project and look ahead to all that God has planned for our new campus. We were thrilled to show parents around the new STEAM building and the site of the next phase of the Middle School, where construction begins in October.

With the support of our community, our new campus will align our physical environment with our commitment to educational excellence while fostering community, strengthening financial sustainability, and expanding our capacity to serve more students.

Building faith through practice.

Middle school is a time when students are forming not only their beliefs about the world, but also the practices that shape how they spend their time and engage with it.
This fall, our Middle School leadership team introduced the Builders Challenge, a weekly opportunity to put James 1:22 into practice: “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only…”

Each week, students receive a simple, practical challenge designed to help them live out God’s design for their lives. Challenges might include spending five minutes reading the Bible or praying, praying before getting out of bed and before going to sleep, or putting a Bible verse into practice and sharing the experience with a friend.

Participation is optional, but the goal is meaningful: helping students develop the spiritual executive function to intentionally use their time and energy in ways that accomplish God’s purposes.

Little practices can build a lifetime of faithfulness.

Thank you to Middle School parents who joined us for Curriculum Night last Thursday!

Our teachers and administrators loved seeing so many parents and having the opportunity to share what’s new and happening at Veritas this year.

The evening included updates on our reimagined parent engagement & partnership program, the new campus, and parent survey results and actions, along with the opportunity to meet the teachers—including our specials teachers.

We’re grateful for the partnership of families and the shared commitment to helping students flourish. We look forward to welcoming our K-5 families this Thursday evening!
