Exciting work underway for the new band room, finally!

Three years ago today, the Wayland Union community voted YES on supporting the next generation of our students.

✅Swimming lessons for all ages, youth swim programs, water aerobics, home swim meets and more will be a reality again in the fall of 2027.

✅ The ground breaking will be in a few weeks on a new band room that meets the needs of a modern and growing band program, and current spaces will be remodeled and reconfigured to meet the needs of our Orchestra and Choir students. 

✅ Our career and technical education spaces are currently undergoing remodeling and construction for state-of-the-art and functional career training programs, including a robotics area. 

✅ the varsity soccer field is leveled and appropriate underground drainage installed to prevent water logging. 

✅ Pine Street gym has modern restrooms that are accessible to everyone in the community who use that space. 

✅ The middle School has a new roof and energy efficient windows providing energy and cost savings and keeping our middle school students and staff more comfortable in all weather. 

✅ Along with an administration building that allows us to host all of our district support staff under one roof, we have functional, beautiful and spacious community rooms designed to accommodate the Leisure Life program, district board meetings, trainings and professional development, and to host all of our various community and student groups.
