Tonight’s football game vs. Appling was postponed due to weather.

The game has been rescheduled for Friday, August 14th at 4:00 PM at Memorial Stadium.

🎟️ Admission will not be charged.

We’ll see everyone Friday! 🐾🏈

Attention Car Riders!

The car rider drop off spot in the mornings will be moving down to the cafeteria double doors. This is right past the front entrance of the school. Please look for the signs. The doors will be open from 7:15 - 8:10. After 8:10, please enter at the front entrance of the school.

We are having a great start to our new year!!

Mrs. Greenwood's classes had fun building a "Getting to Know You" tower.

This Friday is the cut off for ordering and paying for the t-shirt. The order will be placed over the weekend and we will let everyone know when they are in to come pick up!

Shirts can now be paid for online! Please complete the Google form to place the order and click the link that’s in the Google form to pay online. We have also added an option to have your shirt shipped to you for an additional $12. Please be sure to fill out the shipping information portion of the Google form if you’re in need of this! If paying online you may pay for all shirts ordered together but must complete the Google form order for each shirt separately!

🚗 Waycross Middle School Car Rider Route Update

As we continue working through the opening of our new campus, we have identified an adjustment that we believe will improve the safety of our students, staff, families, and everyone traveling through the area during arrival and dismissal.

Beginning this afternoon, Friday, August 7, a new car rider traffic pattern will be in effect. Please review the map below before coming to campus.

Directions:
🟡 Approaching from Knight Avenue: Turn onto Oakwood (by Wong's), then turn left onto Vine Street.

🔴 Approaching from Central Avenue: Turn onto Oakwood, then turn right onto Vine Street.

We know this is another change, and we sincerely apologize for asking everyone to adjust again. Opening a brand-new school comes with a few lessons that can only be learned once hundreds of vehicles begin using the campus.

Every adjustment we make has one purpose: making arrival and dismissal safer and smoother for our students, families, staff, and our community. After observing traffic over the first two days of school, we believe this updated route is the safest and most efficient long-term solution, and we anticipate this will be the traffic pattern moving forward.

We had an absolutely fantastic first day of school in our brand-new building! Seeing all the smiling faces, energy, and excitement today made our new building truly feel like home.
